Today we live in a world where technology has emerged to new horizons and is on the verge of new breakthroughs in treatments of once considered incurable diseases. One major outlet to these cures is the ability to clone. Cloning would allow scientists and doctors to reproduce vital organs and tissues for treatment. Yet the ethical issues that lie beneath are many. Is cloning ethical? Does it violate nature? What will become of the human population? How much is too much? These are just a few of the many unanswered questions regarding this very delicate, yet critical topic bringing with it many moral, social, and ethical questions that provoke our very existence. In order to understand the issues at hand, one must establish a basic understanding of cloning. Only then can one understand the controversy involved. As for any controversial issue, there are many aspects and views to take into account. One must take into account both sides of the spectrum and its ethical and legal aspects as well in an effort to reach somewhat of a middle ground if possible.
